Bengaluru Fact-Check: Evidence Debunks Opposition's NEET Claims
The Bengaluru Traffic Police have confirmed that a student who missed the NEET examination on June 21 arrived late due to delayed departure and poor route selection, not traffic congestion from a political rally. The fact-check, based on CCTV footage and route analysis, thoroughly undermines opposition claims that a Congress mega-event caused the disruption.
What Did the Bengaluru Traffic Police Investigation Reveal?
On Tuesday, the Bengaluru Traffic Police released their findings following a thorough investigation into the incident. The NEET candidate from R T Nagar departed from residence at 12:57 pm, a mere 33 minutes before the prescribed cut-off time of 1:30 pm for entry into the examination centre.
CCTV footage and route verification established that the candidate reached the examination centre area at 1:33 pm, three minutes after the gates closed. The analysis further indicated that the candidate travelled a longer route, despite the availability of a shorter alternative that could have enabled quicker travel.
The traffic police were unequivocal in their assessment.
